"Destructive Paths to Live Happily" single available on April 20!

April 20 is finally here! Our first single, "Destructive Paths to Live Happily" is available as a 7" or digital download b/w "Colors Treasured." 

The full length, "Covered in Dust" is coming out June 15 on CD/LP/download.

18 Dark Bands to Watch in 2011

We are very happy to appear in Stereogum.com's 18 Dark Bands to watch in 2011 list along with a lot of other great bands!
"Dark New Orleans pop trio Kindest Lines are releasing their debut full-length Covered In Dust via WIERD on 6/15. The 11-song collection was produced in Chicago by Alfredo Nogueira and Josh Eustis of Telephone Tel Aviv. It’ll be preceded by a 7″ for second single “Destructive Paths to Live Happily.” The first single, “Baltimore,” premieres below. It’ll give you a sense of their Cure-esque atmospherics blended with a kind of down-home indie-pop and gently wafting post-punk, blending minimal synth with guitar crescendos."

Hello hello everyone...It's been awhile, yeah?

The past few months have been very busy, so i'm sorry we haven't been keeping up with you...well on here at least.

In july we played an amazing show at Home Sweet Home in the Lower East Side for the WIERD RECORDS PARTY. So since then we've played some pretty cool local shows back home in New Orleans, including one with Esben & the Witch from Matador Records.

In September we went to Chicago for a marathon, five day recording session to record eleven songs for our debut full length on Wierd Records. The album was produced by Alfredo Noguiera at Josh Eustis'(Telefon Tel Aviv) studio. Justin went back a few weeks later to help with mixing.

So this past week Jack went to New York to oversee the mastering and it's all done!  o except for artwork, layout and all that

In February we will be releasing a 7" for "Destructive Paths to Live Happily" b/w "Colors Treasured."  The artwork is by Portland artist Chelsea Linehan and the layout design was done by our friend Glenn Maryansky(Blacklist, Cult of Youth, etc etc)

The full length will be titled "Covered in Dust" and will be available on vinyl, cd and iTunes. So stay tuned....like us on Facebook(ahhhh sorry i had to put that!)

Kindest Lines first One Eyed jack's show

Hello hello...first off Kindest Lines are playing a Midcity house party on Thursday July 29 at 1228 N. Broad w/ Pumpkin and Firebrand. We are going to be spending the next few weeks getting everything together for our first full length which we will begin recording in about  a month.

On Sunday August 22, Kindest Lines will be opening for Memoryhouse and Twin Sister at One Eyed Jack's at 615 Toulouse. We are very excited about this, especially since it's our first "big" local show we've done and we're opening for two great bands!

Wierd Party July 7 and Kindest Lines ep

Hello everyone.

Kindest Lines will be making our New York live debut at the Wierd Party at Home Sweet Home 131 Chrystie St at Delancey on Wednesday July 7.

An extra special thank you to DJ Frankie Teardrop for putting "Destructive Paths to Live Happily" in heavy rotation and showing support from day one.

Sometime next week, we will be getting a few copies of our first four song ep courtesty of Bridgetown Records....more on that to come soon.
